A clear day in the ocean can be a fascinating time to view dolphins, as the bright sunshine shoots rays of light into the top layers of the water. However, the presence of clouds adds a different mood and an entirely different viewing arena. I am often more mesmerized by the dancing patterns of highlights and shadows on the surface than by the dolphins.
